Working in the mine, chez nous

There is a bit of mining going on in our court yard. We are the proud owners of a citerne, an ancient huge rainwater basin. We've decided a long time ago that we'd like to put it back into use. In the summer there is often a water-scare and eventhough we never witnessed an actual water-problem it is realistic to assume there's one looming.
These pictures are also taken in case there is a accident. The boys who are cleaning it out are 2.5 meters deep under the ground and because nothing is build with foundations I thought it a good idea to keep a visual archive in case something goes wrong. Or in case they find a scull, a scelleton or a pot of gold!
In the mean time the works on our terrace have started but I'll sit on those pictures untill it becomes a bit more interesting.
